Speaking Opportunities

Not only are our monthly meetings a great networking event, they also serve as a great way to market you and your business! For every meeting, we have two speaking opportunities available: Spotlight Speaker and Keynote Speaker. Their different roles and requirements are outlined below.

Spotlight Speakers

This is your time to shine! Consider this speaking opportunity your extended "elevator pitch" - it allows you to inform a group of prospective clients about what makes your business so great and why they should do business with you. Spotlight Speaker requirements include:

  • Your presentation should not exceed 5 minutes.
  • Spotlight Speakers will provide a door prize for a drawing. Past door prizes have included gift cards, gift baskets, candy-filled Yeti Cups, wine, and swag bags filled with company-related promo items.
  • Props, flyers, and promo items are encouraged, but any leftover items will need to be recollected after the meeting ends.
  • During your presentation, please state your name, business, what your business does, how it will benefit members, and any upcoming events or promotions.
  • Before or after the meeting, we will record a short video of you that gets posted to our YouTube channel, Facebook page, and Twitter page, along with being included in our monthly blog post about our most recent meeting. Keynote Speakers

Reservoir career women is looking for women who can share their knowledge on topics that benefit, encourage, educate, or entertain. These topics can relate to business, professional, or personal topics. If you have an area of interest that you would like to share to our group, please feel free to contact us. We would love to hear from you! Keynote Speaker requirements include:

  • Your presentation should not exceed 20 minutes.
  • Keynote speakers are not required to provide a door prize; it is strictly optional.
  • Who says you can't get a free lunch? In exchange for your speaking services, the keynote speaker's lunch is comped for the meeting.
  • Props, flyers, and promo items are encouraged,┬ábut any leftover items will need to be recollected after the meeting ends.
  • Keynote speakers will need to provide a quick bio so that they can be introduced before presenting.
  • Since this is a longer speaking time, Keynote Speakers should have a well-planned topic to cover. The topic should be informative, but not a sales pitch for her company. Slideshow or media options are available via an HDMI cable and wide-screen TV on premises.
  • Please let Mindi or Alahna know your topic when scheduling your Keynote Speaker date.

Speaking Topics

Think you have an idea for a topic that would enlightening to our ladies, but necessarily don't want to be a speaker? We want to know about what you want to hear! Sometimes we get lucky and speakers fatefully fall into our laps, while sometimes we have to go scouting for talent. If you want to hear about a certain subject, chances are we can probably find an expert in that field and ask her to speak.
