Our Story

While networking at a Clinton Career Women meeting one day, Alahna Norton and Mindi Phillips knew they needed to share this style of networking closer to their own home bases in Rankin County. The two ladies immediately co-founded Reservoir Career Women as they saw a need in our area for women to gather, learn, and gain support from each other.

To date, this has been a terrific endeavor to watch relationships develop and grow as new friendships are formed. The support of these ladies for each other and the group continues to grow and bless all of us.

Meet the Board

Want to meet the ladies that created this fantastic group? They are Alahna Stewart Norton and Mindi Phillips! Amanda Kittrell came on later as web admin, and Arlette Thompson joined the Board after volunteering to run our text messages and be our event coordinator.

Alahna Norton

Life has a way of repeating itself! Alahna is energetic and caring in all she does.

Alahna worked in the hospice industry many years ago when she was working as a Community Educator and Volunteer Coordinator then left to pursue other marketing and sales opportunities. She landed in Residential Real Estate sales for over 7 years and thoroughly enjoyed working with buyers and sellers throughout the tri-county area. After a very successful run in real estate, Alahna felt a pull back into hospice work.

Since May 2018, Alahna works as the full time Volunteer Coordinator for Compassus Hospice where she gets to encourage, lift up and play match maker! Alahna gets to match people who have a desire to help others with those who have a need. She views this stage of her career as a ministry opportunity to use the gifts God has given her to help those that He puts in her path. As of the Fall of 2019, she retired from Real Estate Sales.

In addition to her Hospice work, Alahna enjoys riding motorcycles with her husband and CMA (Christian Motorcyclists Association) and being involved with her church at St. Mark’s in Brandon. She also enjoys spending time with her daughter, son in law and 4 precious granddaughters when she can!
