Reservoir Career Women Meeting Blog - February 21, 2018 - 2 Year Anniversary!
Reservoir Career Women celebrated its 2-year anniversary, and we keep continuing to grow! So much happened at this meeting; keep reading!
Intro: We presented Chad Polk and The Blake with a Certificate of Appreciation because, well, we appreciate them for letting us meet at their wonderful facility! Not only do they let us use their activity room once a month for our meetings, they also keep us fed with hot, fresh food. We also enjoyed a short motivational clip about little steps that can have big impact in your everyday life.
Spotlight Speaker: Danielle Ervin, Prudential Advisors. Have a question about money, but were too afraid to ask? Call Danielle - you can find her contact info on our Members or Rolodex page! She was also able to give a quick interview about her business and an upcoming event - here she is:
Keynote Speaker: Gallant Hearts Guide Dog Center. Becky Floyd and Kathie Curtis were kind enough to be our anniversary speaker and tell us about their wonderful foundation, Gallant Hearts Guide Dog Center. Gallant Hearts is a nonprofit organization that trains and places guide dogs with blind people all over the nation. We also got to meet Becky's guide dog Maeberry, a red Doberman that immediately won us over. And while they were touching our hearts, we had a little treat in store for them, too! Because of the businesses that have purchased ad slots on our website, we were able to make a donation on behalf of Reservoir Career Women to Gallant Hearts! How else can you help Gallant Hearts? They have a puppy training program, you can donate services, you can volunteer for fundraisers, and you can send them a donation directly. Thanks again to Becky and Kathie!

Lunch: The Blake never fails to fill us up! This month's feast was Italian-inspired, with a fresh green salad, Chicken Marsala over fettuccine, and sweet peas, washed down with a peach and lime nectar concoction, with a light custardy sponge cake topped with mixed berries for dessert!
